DSquared Fashion for Sustainability is a creative collaboration between designers, artists, and visionaries who believe that fashion can challenge systems, spark conversation, and create impact.
The main objectives of this charity fashion show are to raise funds and awareness for Dsquared, help preserve the environment, integrate the Dsquared Plarn program and fashion in order to create sustainable items for the homeless or those at risk of becoming homeless or avant garde fashion items to drive program awareness. This is also a great opportunity for fashion students and fashion designer volunteers to gain experience and exposure as well as a great time for multiple organizations/communities to network and work together.
This year’s show features a Plastic Bag Competition, where designers will transform discarded plastic into creative, original garments ranging from full sets to statement accessories. You'll see pieces that are avant-garde and some that are more practical.
